This book is the first about the life and work of one of the greatest active Brazilian guitarists, Ricardo Silveira, Pedro's father.

 

Ricardo's music is the soundtrack to Pedro's life, who witnessed most of his father's career achievements and was so influenced that he chose music and the same instrument as his profession. "It was a long-standing desire to have this material written down and formatted into a book, as the music needed to be transcribed to be available to future generations".

In addition to 15 songs from Silveira's repertoire, there is a section “About the Songs”, where Pedro specifies the choices, changes, particularities and curiosities of each song contained in the book, and also a section with information that helps the reader to play the songs, with suggestions for rhythmic and harmonic accompaniment for each one. Finally, there is a complete biography and annotated discography, which were written based on a series of interviews with Ricardo.
