Pedro Silveira is a guitarist, composer and producer that has a Master's degree in Teaching Musical Practices, graduated in Arrangement in Brazilian Popular Music at UniRio and completed courses in Harmony and Guitar at Musiarte.

He was assistant producer for the albums: Elza Soares - “Beba-me” (2007) and Emílio Santiago - "De um jeito diferente" (2008).

 

From 2010 to 2012 he produced Instrumental MPB, a radio show presented on MPB FM by Leo Gandelman, with whom he later (2017/18) also produced “Blue Note Sessions”, on the radio station Sulamérica Paradiso.

He has been part of the sextet Bondesom since 2011 and as an instrumentalist he has worked with artists such as Aline Paes, Alma Thomas, Angelo Paes Leme, Baby do Brasil, Elza Soares, Flavia Bittencourt, Leo Gandelman, Liz Rosa, Mu Chebabi, Ney Matogrosso, Pedro Mann, Ricardo Silveira, Roberto Menescal, Taryn Szpilman, Zeca Baleiro, among others.

 

He played in the shows: "Next to Normal" (2012), "Jacinta" (2013), "Se Eu Fosse Você" (2014), "Elis, A Musical" (2015), “The Full Monty” (2015), "Gota D'Água a Seco" (2016), "Mamonas: O Musical" (2017), "Ghost" (2017), “Isaurinha” (2018), “70? Decade of the Divine and Wonderful Doc. Musical” (2018/19), “Sponge Bob - The Musical” (2023), “Beetlejuice - O Musical, O Musical, O Musical” (2023), "Dear Evan Hansen (2024)".

 

He has produced soundtracks and sound design for clients such as “Brasas”, “Canal Combate", "Catarse", “Gloob”, ”Hotel Urbano“, ”MITA“, ”Oh, Boy!”, “Reserva” and "TEDx".

In partnership with Lucas Ariel, he composed the soundtrack for the documentary “Quanto Tempo o Tempo Tem” by Adriana Dutra.

He is the author of the soundtrack and sound design for the play “Agora e na Hora” directed by Walter Lima Jr.

 

In 2019 he released his first solo album, "Bons Ventos", co produced with Ricardo Silveira and, from 2020 to 2023 he taught band practice at Eleva Barra school, in Rio de Janeiro.

 

In 2023, he made his debut as an author with the book "Bom de Tocar: A música de Ricardo Silveira", the result of his research for his professional master's degree. In the book, he brought together transcriptions of the work of Ricardo, his father, suggestions on how to accompany the songs and biography and discography sections.

In July of the same year, he became part of the cast of musicians from Musiversal, through which he regularly provides remote recordings of electric guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin and ukulele for clients from all around the world.

In Feb 2025 released "Costeiro”, his second album, in which he plays exclusively ukulele. For this album he had Marcello Muller on acoustic bass and Marco Lobo on percussion.
